About Delphi

DELPHI (Devising E-learning Logistics Programmes to Heighten Innovation) is a project co-funded by the European Commission within the framework of the Development of Innovation strand of the Lifelong Learning Programme – Leonardo da Vinci subprogramme.

The DELPHI Project was designed in order to improve the quality of distance learning in the field of Logistics.

DELPHI intends to implement an innovative, web-based interactive training platform in the field of logistics allowing learners (logistics students, logistics professionals, SME employees in charge of logistics) not only to benefit from the resources contained in the platform, but also to directly create their own training resources and share them with other learners all over Europe. The innovative character of DELPHI lies in the non-traditional technology chosen as the main tool to deliver the learning contents: audio-visual contents (i.e. videos), which allow immediate transfer of information.

In an era when sophisticated technologies are becoming more and more accessible to large brackets of the population; when the Internet has introduced a new “visual” and wiki concept of learning, mainly made of images, fragments, and movies; when cellular phones offer multiple functions including that of taking photos, shooting and recording movies, the LogisticsTube platform offers a new-concept training methodology allowing quick access to any requested content.
