The Poznan School of Logistics was established in 2001 and instantly took a leading position in Poland’s vocational education market in providing professional education and preparing its graduates for the attractive profession of a logistician. The prestige of the Poznan School of Logistics is derived from the fact that it boasts a competent pool of experts – experienced academics coming from institutions of higher education from Poznan and from across the country, as well as from among the teaching and research personnel, experienced in practical knowledge, of the Institute of Logistics and Warehousing. The school education focuses at a number of logistics and management specializations (trade and distribution logistics, industrial enterprise logistics, e-commerce, eurologistics, quality management in logistics, logistics management in healthcare) that meet market needs and at the same time take into account the dynamic development of logistics as a branch of knowledge. The Poznan School of Logistics is engaged in a wide-ranging research activities within several projects. One of PSL research specializations is education – since 2005 the school was coordinating the Leonardo da Vinci pilot project NEDLOG – The Modern Education for Logistics, successfully completed early 2008. This project has been realized with the participation of 8 partners from Poland (3), Germany (3), Czech Republic (1) and Hungary (1).
