ITL Foundation was set up by Emilia-Romagna Regional Government to contribute to the development of the logistics system in Emilia- Romagna by providing research, consulting & training activities. ITL brings together all the main public & private logistics key-players in Emilia- Romagna as its shareholders are public adm. (Regione Emilia-Romagna, regional provinces, municipalities), transport nodes, the regional union of Chambers of Commerce & Universities. The main activities carried out and relevant to the project are:
- - Surveying the demand for logistics jobs & training needs in SMEs.
- - Setting logistics training standards.
- - Creating a regional network between enterprises (Regional Forum), public adm. & training agencies to match SMEs logistics demand with the regional training supply.
- - Defining logistics curricula in transport and logistics.
- - Organizing pilot logistics training. Since 2004 it has worked with over 350 SMEs & developed training activities to improve logistics skills.
